Smart Check Error - Refi selection populated incorrectly in actual question

Hi - I'm using the turbo tax desktop version to file my taxes. When I run the smart check tool for my federal tax, it says "Refi must be entered". I selected "Refinance No" (see screenshot), but then when I return to the refinance question in the deduction section, it marks the answer as "This loan is a refinance of a previous loan" (see screenshot). Then, when I change the answer to "This loan is neither", the smart check tool will prompt me to answer the "Refi must be entered." question again. Is this a bug? How to fix it?again. This seems to be a bug. Can I select `no entry` as that seems to indicate that my loan isn't refinanced?

I just tested it out on my version of Turbotax and this is how I entered it and it seamlessly went through to the forms with desired results.

When going through the screens, Enter all the mortgage information etc., etc.

then hit continue, Is this loan secured by a property of yours, answered yes

then cotinue till the screen Lets see if this is the most recent form for this loan, I hit yes

Interestingly enough, when I hit This loan is a refinance from a previous loan and hit yes, then all the items

on that worksheet are marked no with no error messages showing up.

Try it out again and see how it works for you. You may have to clear cache and cookies on your computer to refresh.

Thanks for the response. How can I confirm that the worksheet has the correct info in them?

If you have not paid for the TurboTax fees as yet, you may want to do so now so you can properly preview, print and review your return before efiling.

See the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account and open your return by selecting Continue or Pick up where you left off
  2. Select Tax Tools from the left menu, then Print Center (on mobile devices, tap in the upper left corner to expand the menu)
  3. Select Print, save, or preview this year's return, and follow any additional instructions
  4. Once your PDF opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader, select the printer icon near the top
  5. Make any adjustments in the Print window and then select Print at the bottom
