Similar question regarding form 5695

I understand they are working on the issue to fix this by March 26th. I tried to refile after the previous date of March 17th and still rejected. I also unchecked the joint occupancy box and it still failed. I am a joint occupant, unmarried filing separate.  We co-own the home and split expenses where he pays for the house and I pay all the other things like insurance, cars, food, utilities and insurance. I also paid for the entire home improvement and want to claim it on my return. Will this repair fix the issue or should I print the forms and include a statement regarding this matter. My partner has already filed and can no longer file a form 5695.  Please advise.

Thanks

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, which it sounds like you are if you were able to 'uncheck the joint occupancy' box on Form 5695, go to FORMS and Open Form 5695.

When it displays, click on 'Delete Form' at the bottom of the page.

Then step through the interview for the Home Energy Credit again (don't indicate joint occupancy) and let it re-populate Form 5695.

Then try Efiling again.
