Saving Tax Return

I can save my tax file, however, I can't "save as". "Save as" will allow me to change the name and save it anywhere I want. Is there a "save as" option? I know I can save it as a PDF.

There is not a Save As... if you are using the TurboTax online web-based editions.

 

Using the TurboTax desktop editions, click on the File menu at the top left of the desktop program screen.

Click on Save As...

I was modifying my 2023 return using the 2023 mac desktop program. There isn't a "save as" in the file menu - only a "save",

There is Duplicate.  And Rename.   I think Duplicate would be the Save As.

My answer assumed you were using the TurboTax desktop editions for Windows.  Someone else will have to assist for a Mac.

In past years, TT always had a "save as" option. I don't know why they took that away.

 

I had copied the file and renamed it so I now have 2 files, however, it would be easier if there was a "save as" option.
