RRB 1099

When I enter my RRB 1099, TurboTax asks me questions about my disability.  I am not disabled.  It then asks me questions about my age if I could have retired without the disability.  I retired from the Railroad industry several years ago under an age retirement, not a disability one.

What is this and how do I fix it?

Thank you

Perhaps it might be wise for you to go through your personal interview to see if you may have selected that you were disabled.

Go to "My Info" and click "Edit".

Also, you might want to delete the RRB-1099 and re-enter it.

Don't import it, please enter it by hand.

This is not a common problem, so may just be an input error.

Thank you for the response.  I went to the beginning, under Personal Information Summary, You and Your Family.  I don't see where there is any box to check for being disabled or not.  Can you guide me?

Thanks again

The question is to determine whether to treat the distribution as a wage replacement  on line 1 on the 1040 form or a pension on line 4.  If you receive a railroad pension under the minimum retirement age then it must because of a disability.

I can find no place in my info to select if I am disabled or not.

Reloading the RRB-1099-R info did not change anything.

My Railroad job was a second part-time job that I choose to terminate.

The same problem exists for my wife's spousal info.

There is no place to check.    It is just asking the earliest retirement age.    The question  is poorly worded.
