routing numbers

there are two pages where TurboTax requests routing numbers and account numbers.  On the first page, it displays a sample check showing ACH routing number, Bank routing number, and checking account number.  On the second page, it requests routing number and account number but does not request a reentry of the numbers from the first page.  Since the ACH routing number is also shown on the sample check on the first page, is that the routing number requested on the second page or should the bank routing number be reentered there?

If you have not e-filed or mailed your tax return already you can view your routing and account number by going to the "File" section to enter/review/update:

  • Login to TurboTax account and go into your tax timeline, select the File tab.
  • There are three steps listed. Click on Start/Revisit next to Step 2.
  • This is the area where you can view the banking information.

If you have already filed your tax return follow these steps:

  1. Sign into TurboTax if you haven't already.
  2. On the Tax Home screen, scroll down and select Add a State (don't worry, we're not adding a state) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
  3. In the left menu, select Tax Tools then Print Center.
  4. On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year's return.
  5. On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2019 federal returns and Include Government and TurboTax Worksheets (optional), then select View or Print Forms.
  6. The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2019 Federal Tax Return next to Balance Due/Refund.
