To change you contact information and/or your password while in TurboTax, select Intuit Account the lower left hand side of your screen. Select Edit next to the item you want to change.
Trying to reset password so I can pay Intuit for efile state return. Did as suggested and am getting a message saying I need to wait a bit. Waiting does not resolve issue.
To change your User ID or Password, you'll want to be logged into your TurboTax online account.
Go to your Intuit Account and sign in to your account.
Select Intuit Account in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Look under Sign In & Security and select Edit next to either User ID or Password
Enter the new information.
Enter your existing password.
Click Save.

The issue I am facing is the inability to change my forgotten password.
Yes, I can log in by getting a code sent to my phone or email, but there is no prompt to update my password for future log ins.
Furthermore, yes I understand how to change your password on Intuit, but if you need your current password in order to change your password how does one do this if they forgot their password which started the issue in the first place?

Sign out and when you try to sign back in select that you have "forgotten your password". This should trigger the menu to allow you to change the password. You may also find the account recovery form to be helpful.
i got a verification code and entered it after that still asking password , if i knew my previous password i would not reset my password please can someone help me asap

Thank you for your help that is all i have done for all whole this week, still no luck tried to reach turbotax, intuit no live person i contacted, even if i tried different methods of resetting my passwor no luck at all, that is why i decided post my issue here please i need technical assistant to access for my prior year account please give me right person`s contact details thank you! or the person who can help me to access to my account

is there any technical live support team number, i tried all reset options but can not access even if i entered correct info :(
Yes, you have 2 options available. Since forgot ID/ password is not working for you. One is a live person that may be able to help you. The live person may direct you to the account recovery process, which you can do on your own and takes at least 24 hours and you must include a valid government id, like a drivers license.

I could not remember my password so I went through the getting a new one. I was sent the email and entered the code and reset the password and it said it is not working at this time and to try again or try again later. It will not let me reset. I called the phone number and it keeps just wanting to send me a new email reset link that does not work. All I want to do is pay the fee to send my state tax without paying the $40.00. Please help.
Wow! This is the exact same issue I am having. And these dumb answers make the person answering them look like a total moron. Let's try it this way. We are having a problem resetting our password. The reason we are wanting to reset our password is because we have forgotten them, so NO we can't sign into our Intuit account as stupidly instructed. So then we request a new one and we must get a code texted to us, which we did. The code gave us a reset link. We enter a new password, different for the one we previously had (which if we had remembered we would not be having this problem) and so we enter some random new paswood with all of the requirements and click RESET. and voila....It says we are having an issue and to please try again or to come back later. So we try again, and again, and again...Are you getting this genius? When that does not work, we call the help line which is automated and the only solution it gives is to send us a link to the same page we are having the problem with. So with this vast wealth of new information, how do we reset our password? All we want to do is pay you guys. My next move will be to get a different tax program next year if I cannot get an answer or a call back.
It sounds like you are in a reset password loop. Before you run the account recovery tool or attempt to change the password again make sure you're logged out completely of all Intuit accounts including the one you're asking this question from. Clear your browser, internet cookies, cache, close the browser and re-open it. You can also try using a different browser.

If you don't remember your old password, use account recovery.
If I don't get this password changed in a few minutes I will never use turbo tax again I've been trying for a half hour
I requested the option to reset my password. I was given a six digit number. I entered it and was given the option to change the password . I did that and confirmed it. Then I was cut off and the password didn't work. What do I have to do to get my taxes filed??
