Reject for AGI not matching

Hello, 

 

This is my 5th year filing with turbo tax and I've never had this problem.  I'm getting a reject due to the AGI not matching.  I downloaded my previous year transcript directly from the IRS and that is the number I'm using, but it still gets rejected.  Also tried entering 0 with no luck.  How do I fix this?  I'm using turbo tax so I can e-file, if I have to paper file it defeats the purpose.

Also received the same rejection reason yesterday.  I am a long time user and have not had the problem before.  The number entered is correct.  Double and triple checked.

What is the exact error message you are getting?  You can respond here for further assistance. 

 

Also, have you tried entering in 0 for the prior year AGI?  For more details, please see the Help Article here.

I had the same problem, I obtained a copy of the 2019 transcripts & the AGI matched, I double checked my self-pin, and after trying MANY times I finally decided to obtain a IP PIN.  I went to "irs.gov/onlineservices" to register & request the IP PIN...it was an easy process.  When I received that PIN, I went back to my return & under the "other tax situations" is a tab to update the "identity protection pin".  Click edit & enter the IP Pin you received.  When I went thru that process, my return was accepted.  Hope this helps.

Put $0 and it works.  It will be accepted.  That's what the IRS has in their system and expects you to put.  They need to update their database. You're welcome.

I tried putting 0 in for the AGI and that still didn't work.  That's why I finally went the route of getting an IP PIN....
