Registration code shown but not honored???

I'm trying to call up TTax2024, which was used successfully last year.  When I reinstall the software, it already knows I have a valid code (from my account).  But then it gives an error and gets stuck.

 

If I enter the code again manaully, it says "Yep, that's the same code as your account, and I still don't like you."

 

I spoke to support by phone, and the GENIUS support twit "Joan" offered to sell me ANOTHER copy at a discount.  I already bought it.  I already used it last year. They KNOW I bought it and used it.  I can show them the receipt email for buying it.  What the hell???

 

I'm a loyal customer for several decades now...  this may drive me to their/your competitors.  What kind of asinine answer is "You can buy it again!"???
