Understood, but do we also need to file 1098 forms B & C (Mortgage Interest Statements) so he can deduct the interest payments ?

I didn't catch the change that automatically changed the Subject from "Personal Mortgage Loan" to "Re: Personal Mortgage Loan".
Re means a reply to a thread. Don't know how yours got posted as a new post instead of adding on to the other one.
