Yes, you can change the enterprise assigned to a rental property by reviewing your responses to questions near the end of the Rental Property interview in TurboTax.
- Go to Rental Properties and Edit/Update the property you need to change.
- At the bottom of the Rental Summary page, click Done.
- Follow the prompts until you begin to see questions about QBI.
- On the page "Should this business be treated as part of a combined business?" you may choose any of the listed activities that should include this rental property.
Note that the names on the activity list come from the Name and Employer ID (EIN/SSN) for the activity. Most rental properties use the owner's name without an EIN. If you need to change the group activity name, return to the main rental property for the group and repeat the steps above, only stop at the page with name/EIN boxes and make your changes there.
