Premier vs. Premiere Live

First time Turbo Tax user.  I signed up for the Premier level ($89) , as I have a rental property.  I called and talked with someone because I couldn't find where my depreciation entry shows on the program.  I talked to another person today because I couldn't find this forum.  She told me I am listed at the Premier Live level ($169 & doesn't include state tax return (add'l $54/state).  I did not sign up for Live service and was not told this was going to be a huge increase.  Please change my account back to Premier.  Thank you!

I don't even see "Premier Live" when I go on the site to view package options.  So how could I have signed up for this?!

Since you paid already you will need a refund of the difference.  So you should contact the following Support.

TurboTax Live is a service that can help you as you are preparing your return (or review it for you before you file).

 

You may have accidently clicked to add this as you were going through the program.

 

If you need help with your Rental entries, you may want to keep the service.

I have not paid already.  I have not completed my 2021 taxes yet.  I was told by the "help" person today that I would be charged the $169 premier LIVE amount, plus $54 for each state (the one I live in + the one where my rental property is).  I did not sign up for the LIVE account, but it now appears in the upper left corner when I log into my account.  How do I get Turbo Tax to change this back to regular Premier?

You have two options:

  1. Clear and Start over.
  2. Contact online customer service here. Call in using the phone number listed under product contact information. once you reach a support person on the phone, ask them to provide a downgrade for your account.
