Not getting my verification email?

Trying to file taxes need to receive 6 digit code via email not coming through.

Check your spam folder. Sometimes the emails get stuck there.

i have done the resend email verification like 4 times now

Is your email address correct on the Next, let's verify your email screen?

MY 6 DIGIT CAME THROUGH BUT IS NOT WORKING NEED TO FILE MY TAXES

THAT IS MY OLD EMAIL I JUST CHANGED IT AND ITS SHOWING ON THE SCREEN WHATS WRONG

Be sure you leave the window/tab open where it asks for the code and use a different window or tab to check your email for the code.  Or check your email on your phone while leaving the computer window open.  If you close that first window/tab, then the code won't work. 

 

  1. Select Resend verification code to request another code.
  2. Make sure you leave the TurboTax window open as closing it will invalidate the code.
    • Open another tab or window or use a different browser to check your email for the code.
    • If you're using a mobile device, it's okay to open your email app or another tab in your browser. Just keep TurboTax open in the background and return when you've got your code.

This is mainly a public user community forum--not a direct route to TurboTax Support.   We don't know anything account-specific about your email address in your account.    If you just changed it, then log out of TurboTax, close your browser and reopen it.  Log back in, try to efile, and see if it has changed.

thanks for that I received the first code #914936 and used it to change my E-Mail and it worked then when I went to verif.. E-Mail got a new #047710 but it keeps coming up invalid

Have you already tried the suggestions above in terms of double checking spam, checking the email address on file for accuracy etc? If so and the issue persists, please contact our phone support team for assistance @Larry Hutchipn .
