Not able to enter my W2

I was able to put all our personal info in but once we got to entering wages it blank and I am not able to enter our w2

Also despite using the same laptop Turbo Tax is never able to import or even find my pass taxes. Its very frustrating. I have both 2019 n 2020 turbo tax icons on my desktop but no returns to be found.

More frustrating is that I can't figure out why I cannot input wages...

To enter a W-2 in TurboTax CD/Desktop:

  1. Type W-2 in Search in the top right
  2. Select Jump to W-2
  3. On Let's get your W-2 info, select Work on my W-2

Prior year

TurboTax will transfer last year's information. When you Start a New Return. you should see last year's file. If you did not, tap Browse. You may have stored your .tax file in another folder.

In Windows, your .tax files should be in Documents > TurboTax.

You may want to start over to import last year's info.

I am having this same problem.  Whether I import last year's Turbotax file or not, when I get to the very start of the Federal Taxes section, I find the program will not allow me to enter a W2 either manually or electronically.  The steps you suggest lead me to the page entitled "Wages & Income", but it is just blank.  I have tried this time and again with the same results, or lack thereof.  Any suggestions?

Thanks @ErnieS0   This seems to have solved my issue.  What an obscure fix though.

If you're looking for how to import or enter your W-2, refer to the TurboTax article How do I import or enter my W-2?

If not, please provide more information so we may help you.
