New Mexico state return

I am still unable to print or file my New Mexico State tax return.  The last step in the process to file is to print, and there is an error message that indicates the New Mexico forms are not available.  However, TurboTax's own list of availability (on their websitse) shows all of them are.  This seems to mean the forms from the state are available, but have not been incorporated in the TurboTax software.  I have seen multiple delays in availability.  Is this a known problem?  Has anyone received any update from Support?

Download your returns as a pdf and then print from a pdf.  To print to PDF follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax
  2. Click Add a State.  You will not actually add a state, this will open the return up to access tax tools
  3. Click tax tools
  4. Click Print, Save, or Print this years return
  5. Save as PDF, and print

Also check these options:

  • Shut your computer and printer down for 30 seconds, then turn them back on.
  • Make sure your printer and computer have all updates installed.
  • If using TurboTax Desktop, make sure you've downloaded all updates.

Hi Britanny,

Thank you for responding, however I think you misunderstood my issue.  The error came up after I had completed all data entry for both federal and state (New Mexico).  When I went all  the way through the steps to file, I tried to print (or save as a PDF).  The pop-up window showed that federal forms were selected, but none of the state.  There was a message in lower right corner (where you would typically see the print or save to PDF buttons) that the forms for New Mexico had not been finalized yet.  There was no option to print or file either federal or statte.  I checked the form list for New Mexico and all the forms I needed were showed as ok for eFile.  I then noticed that the estimated tax payment vouchers for New Mexico were not supported.  I did not need those and did not recall creating them in the step-by-step process.  I went back into my return in forms mode, found the state tax payment vouchers and deleted them.  Then I could file both federal and state.
