TurboTax is incorrectly telling me that I have over contributed to my HSA and because of that, I cannot use the free file option (that tax form isn't supported). However, 1. I don't have an HSA or a HDHP and 2. I did NOT over contribute to the HSA when I last had one in 2022 - which was confirmed by my bank and confirmed by the fact that I was never provided form 5329 (excess contribution form).
You cannot talk to ANYONE about ANYTHING without paying. This is an absolutely trash way to do business. Not only does TurboTax make it nearly impossible to find the free filing option, which they have committed to providing, they also make it impossible to resolve issues that have nothing to do with tax advice and everything to do with their **bleep**ty product. I am blown away by the greed.
