Navigating Mac folders?

Hello.

I want to save my tax file in a specific nested folder on my Mac.  All TurboTax 2020 will show is the Documents folder. Clicking the Expand button on the app screen opens the Sidebar but doesn't show me the nested folders. Previous TurboTax versions supported this feature.

The option to save your tax file in any folder is a feature available through your MAC OS, that is not a TurboTax feature. Please contact us by Phone and we can screen share with you and walk you through how to expand that section, it may have changed with an update to your MAC OS.

You could just tell/show how to do it instead of us having to contact TT to be "walked through it".

It's an issue with TT because other software allows mac to navigate DOWN to any desired path. TT only allows navigation UP from any folder we can pick from within TT.  You can pick a folder from the sidebar but we cannot navigate down into those folders. And then below the selector are are a number of "Recent places".

I see 2 work-arounds:

1) Save the file to wherever works best for you. Close TT and navigate to that folder in the Finder app and move the file to the desired folder. Then open TT again and choose File in the upper menu bar >> Open Tax Return (cmd+O) and navigate to the folder where you just moved the TT file to.

2) Open your finder app and drag to the sidebar whichever folder you want to save the TT file in. Go back to TT, select File >> Save >> and pick that folder from the sidebar and click save. And then either remove that folder from the sidebar again or leave it there, whatever works best for you.

This is just plain dumb. You cannot navigate to specific folder to save your tax return??? Just makes no sense
