Missing Forms 8949/8960

I was given a message that these forms were not available yet.  I received an email that they now were.  I updated turbotax and it didn't work.  I downloaded it again and it didn't work.  What do I do now?

Wait for the next release since both of those forms are still showing "Do Not File".

Hopefully, the forms will be ready for filing in the next update (on or before 2/11/2021).

Then why do they send us an email telling us they are ready when they are not? Do they like us to waste our time? Not impressed!

I have the exact same problem.   Very frustrating just sitting around waiting to see if it automatically fixes itself whenever the next update is issued...

Same experience for me. Curiously, both forms for 2020 are available on the IRS site.

TTAX Business has been telling me federal forms 8949 and 8960 are not available. After signing up for email notification of availability, I received such notice 3 days ago on the 6th. However, TTAX Business is not updating to include those forms. The last update provided was on February 5th. The 2020 version of the needed forms are available on the IRS site.

Hopefully, the forms will be available in the next update, scheduled for 2/11/2021.

Note that the forms (all forms) must be approved by the IRS for use in the software and then programmed into the software by the developers thereof; this process takes some time.

Then why do you send out emails saying they are ready when they are not? Your system is broken!

This is typical TurboTax and Intuit product development and support. You might return the software and use TaxAct. Much better tax, product and technical support.
