Local taxes

If I have separate W2’s from 2 different employers and each of them withheld a local municipality tax, how do I file for a refund ?

To claim a refund of local municipality taxes you will need to contact the municipality tax office to find their process.  Each has its own process for claiming a refund.   Most have a website that will outline the process for claiming a refund and/or have contact information for asking questions.

Be sure to enter the forms W2 information into TurboTax just as you have received them for correct filing to the taxing agencies.

You do not say what state you are in.  Sometimes the employer withholds just the right amount for the local tax owed for the locality you worked in, and you do not have to file a local return---since there will be no refund.  That is often the case in Ohio.   What state are you in?
