Load pdf file error

My previous tax return from TaxAct is in PDF format, and the CD turbotax Premier I bought says "We support files from .... and TaxAct (.pdf)", but when I click the file to load, I got an error saying "This import was unsuccessful". I am using Windows 10 on Dell Inspiron. What's the issue?

It is possible that the TaxAct file is corrupted. If you can, I suggest you open the previous year return up in TaxAct, make sure it is the same as the return that you filed, and then save it under a new name. Then, try to upload it to TurboTax again.

@ThomasM125  Saving the file again under a new name has nothing to do with the .PDF the poster is working with.

@krecent678  A PDF will produce limited (ie. not all) information when imported anyway, so you might as well start from scratch without it.
