I am about ready to put my fist through a wall with frustration.
I need to speak to a person to get help.
I have called over and over and the automated system goes in circles and leads me nowhere.. When I use the help tab, it tells me over and over that someone will call me but no one ever calls..

Turbo tax makes me extremely angry and frustrated!!!!!!!

I am trying to finish my 2021 taxes. When I log into my account it doesn't even register that I've started the taxes. I missed the October deadline.
You will need to switch to the Desktop program to continue or finish or to add a state. Or get the blank forms from the IRS or state and fill them out by hand. You need to use a full Windows or Mac computer. And mail the return. If you paid for the Online version ask support to give you the Desktop program download.

How to finish a prior year online return
You will first need to download the tax data file from Online. It will end in .tax2021, .tax2020, .tax2019 etc. You can download the tax file for free. Then you need to install the Desktop program.
After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
If you didn't pay for the Online version you will have to buy the Desktop program download. You can buy the last 3 years of Turbo Tax here,

Yes, I agree that I need to switch programs but I've been unable to get ahold of anyone at Turbo Tax, since I already paid for the online version. I cannot seem to get a live person which is how I began this thread.
