Latest Update Fails - File cannot be found

This is especially interesting because I launched Turbo Tax 2022.

I think this is a problem with the actual update package and not anything to do with my computer.

My computer is  windows 10 pro and has all the latest updates & I do not run 3rd party antivirus.

Windows Antivirus and SFC say everything is normal. I do not use this computer for anything except finances (no social media, no shopping no browsing etc.) Only for finances.

Please try updating your TurboTax software manually to see if that resolves the issue. The below TurboTax Help Article will assist you with the steps.

Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software

The patch was applied successfully.

However as soon as I started Turbo Tax it found an update and that update failed same as before.

I think Turbo tax may have a bad installer in the queue.

Since the update is still failing, it would be best to follow the instructions here, to give us a call so we can look into this further. @RadioTech

Thank you for your efforts.

But I really do not have any more time to dedicate to this.

I have already run the following.

Check for windows updates.

I do not use 3rd party Antivirus or malware applications or firewall apps.

I have run  chkdsk,  sfc /scannow, and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

All have come back as system is running normally.

and as above I have downloaded the manual installer.

All this points to there being an issue with intuit's  update software.

I know that you get to hear this time and again (because I hear it often enough)

I have been an IT admin for 25 years and all evidence so far points to a bad installer.

You can close the ticket as I wont be bothering with this issue further.

I have my refund and the only reason I was attempting to update it is because it came across my Software Update Checker.

Have a pleasant day.
