Language and region

When I sign into TT Premier, I get the message:

Change your language and region to do your taxes.

Your preference: English (Canada)

Recommended preference: English (United States)

How do I make this change?

If you are filing your Tax Return with an address from a Foreign Country or U.S. Territory you can do so the Personal Info Section of TurboTax.

  1. You may log into your TurboTax account and access your current tax return.
  2. From the "Welcome Screen" click on the personal information tab near the top of the screen.
  3. Your personal information summary will appear. Scroll down and find the mailing address section and click to edit.
  4. In the next screen you will click on "Type of Address" (first item on the list) from the drop-down menu, select Foreign Country as your address.

My file does show "Foreign Address" in the drop down menu.

Today I still got the same warning message requesting that I change my language and region.  Do you have another suggestion?

Where are you getting this message? In the Review?

Is it possibly referring to the new question by the IRS that asks what language do you want the IRS to respond to you in?

Can you give us the exact message?
