Is an e-mailed w2 considered nonstandard?

My ex employer's bookkeeper e-mailed me my W2 because they sent my W2 to my old address. The business is no longer open, they closed down a couple months back. Is this form of my W2 considered "nonstandard", since it wasn't mailed or on paper?

No. A W-2 that is e-mailed is not considered non standard. A non standard W-2 is one that is completed by hand, on a typewriter, or using a format other than for standard W-2s.
