Endless Loop: I am in the Income Section. Have answered the 1099- INT questions. I answer the following questions in order, but then it loops back and returns to the first question. I again answer each question (with a NO), and after the last question, I loop back and return to the first question. I can't get past these endless questions.
Did you sell any investments in 2021? NO
Did you have investment losses you couldn’t claim in 2020? NO
Did you receive a Form 2439 for 2021? NO
Any Straddles or Section 1256 Contracts? NO
Incentive Stock Options - NO
Loops back to these questions again and again.

Turbo Tax Premier
CD - Desktop version on Windows 10.
Have noticed this seems to be an issue with others as well. One other posted to this post.
Please double-check to make sure your software is updated to the most recent version. If updating your software doesn't correct the issue, please comment back.
How do I update my TurboTax CD/Download software program?

The program checks for updates, and updates itself automatically at start up.
I also check manually on a regular basis. Everything is updated.
By the way - Others are having similar issues.
This needs a solution, so we can get on with our taxes.

This experience might be resolved simply by clearing cache and cookies. Sometimes your computer remembers pieces of information that you wanted it to forget. It can cause issues that are unexplainable. The instructions are placed here for your to try.

This is not an on-line program. This is Premier CD Desktop, and does not depend on the internet. However, to be able to say I have done all that is asked for and recommended, I did same. No change. By the way, I found another post with much of the same issues. Multiple users are reporting this issue. We need to get TTx involved and doing something so we can all get going on our taxes. Can't help but notice TTx has not weighed in on this.

Same here, Premier CD version. Just have to manually move on with Deductions & Credits for now. See if REVIEW section catch anything missing.

Have used for some 20 years now.
THIS IS THE WORST EVER. We are all held up. Can't do or finish our taxes. At this point have no faith or trust they will be done correctly. Why isn't TTx weighing in here? NO ONE from TTx is contacting any of us. This is not SUPPORT!!! What the heck is going on at TTX?????????? How about some help and support !!!!!

A question many of us have asked. Where is TTx on this issue? Will they ever acknowledge the issue, and contact us? Any completion date for the fix? In the meantime, we all sit unable to complete our taxes. Maybe TTx would be so kind as to offer us someone on LIVE to do our taxes for us. Since we can't with this faulty program. Hey TTx - anyone there involved or reading these posts?
Same issue here. Program stuck in a loop in answering investment income. Updated the program that didn't help. Turbo Tax isn't what it used to be....can't depend on it. Had issues last year too. Getting tired of it.

I have the same problem. I am using Turbotax Premier loaded from a CD with the latest updates. Program as a whole I find glitchy but I cannot get past the income section asking if I received Form 2439 for 2021
Honestly TaxSlayer and FreeTaxUSA is what people use when TurboTax bugs out as usually since they don't have an office and it's just an online service.

I entered all out 1099-B data and answered all the questions which appear to be identical/similar to the original poster's question!
I am using the Mac desktop version of Turbotax Home & Business. The software checks for updates every time I start it up. Presumably, it actually does check.
I have been using TurboTax every year since they were a plug in for a spread sheet. I have experienced minor problems several times. This is the first time I have run into anything remotely like this.
TurboTax programmers need to solve this problem. Many more people will have their programs halted by this problem!

You have to chose one of the tabs above to get out of the section, and just leave it there thrashing by itself which I finally did before I went looking to see if the program is ENTIRELY borked.

Hopefully the program will work ok but this is not the only issue - as I have found a case where it would not take a non dependent child as anything BUT dependent unless I went into forms and forced the changes that step by step apparently could not communicate to them. ~Dimwit
Since I entered everything I need to report, I moved on manually to the next section. I am done and ready to file. No errors are flagged in the review. I’m just holding on a little bit longer just in case TTx have a fix.
Same issue here. Complained 3 weeks ago. TT acknowledged and marked the issue as fixed when it wasn't.
Was getting the email below every few days for a while, then they stopped. Haven't heard squat since.
Not sure I trust a buggy program to correctly calculate my taxes.
Is there any way to get a refund?
