Importing netxinvestor/pershing

  • I'm unable to import my brokerage transactions on TT desktop. Keep getting error message and to contact advisor. Advisor is unable to help. User  name, financial institution #, PW all correct.

If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.

See the following TurboTax Help articles for potential fixes:

I'm using TurboTax desktop, not online. Is the issue that TurboTax and Netxinvestor are not interfacing with each other?

Same issue.  I had no issues with other institutions. Pershing was extremely late with 1099's, so I am hoping that the import file is not available yet and that it will work soon.

I am having the same problem. Does not allow import from my NetxInvestor account. There are a lot of transactions to deal with in the 1099s to enter manually. Please fix this issue ASAP.

At the import page, start typing 'Netx' and you'll see Netxinvestor Pershing in the Search Results below.  Double-click on it, and you'll be taken to the Netxinvestor Sign In page.

Some hints for importing:

  • Make sure your broker account allows 'third party access' (you may need to enable this in your account settings)
  • Turn off all anti-virus programs (here's How to Turn Off Anti-Virus Programs)

I am doing all of that and use the desktop version.  The continue button is still greyed out

I recommend updating your program.  This can be done by logging into your desktop product.  Select Online in the menu on the top, and then select Check for Updates.

If that does not update your program, you can also manually update your program.

Then, try following the suggestion in this link.  Make sure you have also enabled third-party authorization on the brokerage side.  Be sure to select NetXInvestor as the account name option as listed on the approved import partner list.  Make sure the account name you select matches your brokerage account information.

If the update still doesn't resolve the import issue, please contact us for assistance.

The solution was quite simple.  I was copying and pasting the NetX password into desktop turbo tax.  That does not work.  One has to manually type it in.  Worked like a charm when that was done.
