Importing 1099-B

I imported my 1099-B’s from JP Morgan Chase, just like last year. But only about 1/3 of my transactions from the form imported correctly. Is the import link broken?

there was probably a problem with the transmission.   many think that importing is just like sending a fax - straight from the source to the target fax machines. it's not.  any transmission over the internet is broken down into small packets which have routing info, assembly order and the actual data. even a small document will be broken down into these packets and they take various routes to arrive at the destination.  the first packet sent may not be the first packet to arrive. so any glitch in a packet causes problems.  delete the original import and try again.   Turbotax does have limits on the number of transactions that can be imported

.

TurboTax Online can handle up to 1,500 transactions per brokerage account. However, online performance may deteriorate as you get close to this limit.

If you have more than 1,500 stock transactions with a total sales volume of less than ten million dollars, you can switch to the TurboTax CD/Download software (which handles around 2,000 transactions per brokerage) or enter the transactions on Form 8949 using summary data from your broker statements.

Actually, Intuit acknowledged there was a problem importing complete 1099-Bs from JP Morgan Chase. They claim it was corrected today (2/19/21), so I’ll try again.  Thanks for your response!
