Import form is not taking my values for Box 'd' Control Number

The value is made up of numbers letters and periods with no spaces

Is this for a W-2?

If so, box D on a W-2 is for a control number. This is just a payroll processing number and is not required (some employers don't list one at all) by the IRS or TurboTax. You may omit the entry in TurboTax.

If you imported the W-2, you may have to delete it and re-enter manually.
