If I do a second import of data will it overwrite the current forms?

will a second update from a financial institution correct all the forms?

If you do a second import of data from the same financial institution it may duplicate entries.
However, you can delete the current entries and then import again with fresh data.

To delete duplicate forms, you can use Delete Forms

  1. In the left menu, select Tax Tools
  2. Select Tools
  3. Select Delete a form
  4. Scroll to the Form 1099-B or 1099-DIV or 1099-INT that is duplicated and click Delete on the right
  5. Repeat until all are deleted
  6. Then scroll to the bottom and select Continue with my return
