I think I ordered the wrong product.

I ordered the Mac software download assuming that’s what I needed for my iPhone. Now it’s charged my back account but won’t let me file my taxes on my iPhone/iPad

The 2018 tax year is over so the mobile app will not work for you. A download of the cd version will work if you can rent or use a MAC.

You need a full PC or Mac to use desktop software.  You cannot use desktop software on a mobile device like an iPhone or iPad.

 

[edited to explain further-]---the mobile app is online software.  It not possible now to use any online TurboTax software.  Online tax preparation and e-filing are permanently closed.  In order to complete your 2018 return you need desktop software--the CD version or the download, which must go on the hard drive of a full PC or Mac.  That software cannot be supported/installed/downloaded on a mobile device.
