You should receive a Form W-2 reporting your short term disability benefits.
The Form W-2 should show either :
If it's taxable, you should have an amount in box 1, report it
as a normal W-2. OR
If it's not taxable, there should be a code J in box 12 only, do
not report as it is considered as nontaxable sick pay.
To enter your Form W-2 in TurboTax online program,
go to:
1. Sign into your account and select Take me to my
return
2. At the right upper corner, in the search
box, type in W-2 and Enter
3. Select Jump to w-2
4. On screen, Whose W-2 do you want
to work on?, make your selection and select Continue
