The IND-452 code specifies that there is a problem with your Personal Identification Number (PIN) or your Prior Year Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).
The IRS uses your identity info from last year to prove that you are who you say you are.
Possible problem mismatches:
- The 5-digit Self-Select PIN you entered doesn't match what the IRS has on file (or the PIN doesn't match the number that the IRS sent you).
- The Adjusted Gross Income from your 2024 tax return doesn't match their records. Your AGI is on Line 11 of your 2024 tax return.
- You might be trying to use an IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) in the wrong field.
