I cannot install the updates for Turbotax Premier.

unable to connect to update site for Turbotax Deluxe.error code 42001 appeared& could not connect,hit try again,chek for solutions & screen froze wiyh same error message .Then went to insyall page -Roolling Back Installion & software unable tolocate an installer file in which to process--error code 2318. WHAT do I do now?

rec eived error code42001 when trying to use update screen.now screen is frozen & I cannot  even uninstall the program as I get another error code 2318. exasperated

The updater uses TLS 1.0 protocol, which I personally blocked. After enabling it, the updater worked. TLS 1.0 is deprecated and Intuit should really address this issue.

On MacBook Pro with MacOS Monterey 12.0.1 I was unable to connect to Intuit server for updates to Turbotax. My new install of Turbotax 2021 failed with an error of inability to connect. 

Solution:  performed OS update (to 12.1) and rebooted twice

THEN (and this may be the only required step) - rebooted in SAFE mode (hold down left Shift key immediate after hitting power). That cleans out caches and thereafter Turbotax runs normally with easy updates.
