HSA donations

my TT return for 2018 ...we have a 1200.00 HSA cont. from my wife, and 600.00 from me.

when I click to continue the return filing, it stops me. Says the 1200 and 600 have to add up...to 1200!!

A math impossibilty. Ive done this several times, even online with TT help on the phone.

Zippo..nada. No ideas.

Could I have a corrupted file and need them to transport my data to a new copy and try again?

1200...600...cant add up to 1200!

Whats wrong here?

Thanks for any input.

Brian

HSA accounts are individual.  If you have an HSA and your spouse has an HSA, you need to make separate entries for each of you, showing that each of you also has an HDHP health insurance plan.

If one person has family coverage while the other has self-only coverage, you both must check the box that you have family coverage.
