hsa and cobra

This ties into my prior question regarding contributing to hsa while on Cobra.  My husband and I, 64 and 65, contributed $4149.86 to cobra before he went on Medicare in June.  I then went on Cobra and will turn 65 March 2023.  Can I continue to contribute to to the hsa, and how to I figure out the amount that I can contribute through the end of 2022?  Thanks.

I have completed your first post and provided all my assumptions were correct you can take that total and subtract the amount that you have already contributed $4,149.86 to determine how much more you can contribute.  Your husbands eligibility for the HSA plan stopped on the day he was eligible for medicare so you may need to slightly reduce the calculation depending on whether he made it to 6/30 or he turned 65 before that day and was on medicare.   If you are on two plans during any day of the month you do not qualify for a contribution in that month.
