how to input cash app bitcoin data

Ive figured out as much as I could from what little resources I could find.  Ended up paying 100$ to a fourth party to process the bitcoin data from cash app to something submittable on turbo tax, and even that wasn't good enough.  Now all the queries are stuck in review at the end of my tax file and do not get solved after I review them.

Continue and see if it keeps going.

a lot of "needs review" messages are just warnings.

Depends on your wallet/broker source

Cash App is able to provide a 1099-B Proceeds statement.  See here.

In TurboTax Online Premier version, you would be able to upload a tax statement by following these steps:

  • Go to Federal / Wages & Income / Your income / Investments and Savings.
  • Click Start / Revisit to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
  • Click Add investments.
  • At the screen Let's import your tax info, click Enter a different way.
  • Click on CryptocurrencyContinue.
  • Click on Upload it from my computerContinue.

Better solution from Reddit

Solution: add your cashapp as a wallet on cointracker.io, then use turbotax to auto-import transactions from cointracker. Problem solved.

This is not very helpful as they do not have cashapp on their list of things you can add unless it is under a different name, if so you should have added that information with your comment....
