My Fed refund is over 21 days. My return was accepted the same day it was filed. The track my refund link requires I provide my exact refund but I don't have that number handy. I am traveling and can't access it. Is there any other way I can check my status or get the amount number from turbotax? I have been using turbotax for years and have always received my refund within a week. Thanks.
The only way for you to determine the exact refund amount (for the IRS Where is My Refund tracker) is to look at your tax return.
Unfortunately, there is no one at TurboTax that can provide you with that number. Sorry. Maybe you will get the refund in your bank account before you get home to look at the number! I know it is frustrating waiting for the refund.
I guess you didn't read what I said. I'm traveling and can't access my tax forms.
You seem to have internet access. If you use online software you can access your return online. If you used desktop software the tax file is on your own hard drive.
I am travelling with my laptop. I have desktop software on my computer at home. Any suggestions on my original post? And no, my files are not on Onedrive. Don't trust it.

Thanks much. I was just hoping. Have a lot of people been experiencing late refunds? I saw a news item this morning that stated the shut down should not have an impact on the refund schedule.

The amount of a federal tax refund is on Form 1040 Line 20.
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
Or -
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
@bakery1234- Your 2020 income tax refund amount is on line 35a of your Form 1040.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

@Christine352 No one else can access your return for you. You have to look at it for yourself. The amount of your refund is on line 35a of your Form 1040. And.....many refunds are taking longer than 21 days. 21 days was not a promise. It was only an estimate. The IRS---and only the IRS---controls when your refund will be sent.
You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !
EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
