How to file after a divorce is finalized

I used TurboTax to file as married filing jointly for past few years, to include 2020 tax year. The divorce is finalized in April 2021.

When I start filing with TurboTax Online now, it doesn't give an option to file single even after I selected Martial Status changed option. The first question asked is whether married filing jointly or married filing separately.

What's the correct way to file using TurboTax Online for 2021?

Since you are now divorced you should start your own new account with a different user ID.   It is way too hard and messy to get all of the "spouse stuff" out of an account that has been used for a joint return.  You will get errors along the way and when you try to e-file.

When I create a new TurboTax account, do I select single status from the start?

I can still access my previous returns?

In the MY INFO section they will ask your marital status first which for you this year  is divorced  and then if you have no qualifying children to claim the FILING status will be single.

If you have no dependents to claim you can enter the MARITAL status as single if you wish.
