How to access the "Forms" level in the left panel My Forms list

Re: TurboTax Deluxe 2025

There is no "Federal" heading above "Form 1040: Individual" in the left panel forms list.

The "Form 1040: Individual" has a minus sign (-) before it; I think that means the list is frozen at this level.

I need the "Returns Level", which should be just above.

A.I. has struck out with at least a dozen ideas that didn't work.

Thank you.

If you are using online TurboTax you do not have Forms mode.  Forms mode is a feature of only the desktop download software.   With online, you can only preview Form 1040 and Schedules 1,2, or 3;  later after you pay your fees you can see the other forms and schedules and/or print the return for review before you file.

I apologize for the omission; I have the Desktop version.

Windows or Mac?   Yeah the minus in front of Form 1040 is glitching on mine too.  Should be able to click on it and it should collapse the federal forms.  Do you have Open Form at the top of the left column?  Click on that.    OK now it'working for me.   I went to Open Forms and opened a state form.  Now the state shows  up at the bottom of the left column with the minus sign.  I think it just takes a minute to populate the list.

Yes, I do have the Open Forms button at the top.

Scrolling down to State: The State does have the correct (+) and (-) toggles.

A.I. suggested at least 12 remedies, each touted as the absolutely guaranteed solution. I need the upload PDF button, which only appears at the "Federal" level.

If I can't upload my PDF tax allocation statement, I'll have to type one out, then snail mail the entire return to IRS and the state.

What is the "upload pdf button"?  Under Federal?  What are you trying to do?  You can only Transfer a 2024 pdf tax return to start 2025.  Don't know anything about other pdf files.   What kind of pdf are you trying to attach?

The "Upload PDF" button is the only way TurboTax provides for including supporting statements with a federal return that is sent electronically. It is only visible at the "Federal" level. The persistently stuck "1040: Individual" prevents the Federal level from displaying.

Ive never seen that.  I don't believe you can efile a supporting statement in Turbo Tax.  That's probably only in the professional versions.

No, it definitely is there.

I have pinpointed the problem: the program is stuck at the "forms" level (hence the (-) sign. There is a "federal" level above that level. The solution is to "un-stick" the forms level. That's what I cannot do.

Thanks for trying to help.
