How do I refile my return

What do you mean refile?

If you filed the tax return and it was accepted, then you do not refile the same tax return.  If changes are necessary to the original tax return then you file an amended tax return for the changes.  An amended tax return can only be printed, signed, dated and mailed by you.

So, what exactly do you need to do?

Please explain what you mean by "re-file."  Do you mean your 2018 return was rejected and you need to file it?  You cannot e-file it now since e-filing is permanently closed for 2018 returns.  Depending on why it was rejected (and the rejection email tells you why) you might need to change something on it before you can file it, or you might just need to print, sign and mail it now.  If it was rejected for AGI, then it does not matter, and you can just print it, sign it and mail it now.

But if it was rejected for some reason that will require changing anything, you will have to download desktop software to a full PC or Mac in order to make any changes before you can print and mail it.

If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.

They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday-Friday.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

I filed 2020 taxes and did not include a 1099-MISC from a casino gambling win

Do I need to re-file my taxes?

Once a tax return has been filed it cannot be changed, canceled or retrieved

You will have to wait for the IRS to start accepting or rejecting 2020 tax returns on February 12, 2021
If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again.
If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS, it cannot be e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
