In TurboTax Premier, Schedule D and Form 8949 continue to show "Available Jan 11" or "Ready Soon" depending on where I look.

I entered all required information a month ago.  Each category I used last year has current information.

How can I complete my return?

@Hauckster   Are you using the Desktop Premier?   You need to update your program.  Go up to Online-Check for  Updates.   You may need to update a couple of times.  And you should reboot your computer and you might need to install some Windows system updates.

Thanks for the quick response.

I'm using Desktop Premier in Windows 11.

I did Online-Check for Updates multiple times as you suggested and each time got the message, "Your software is up to date."

I check Windows Update daily.  I checked again a few minutes ago and got the message, "You're up to date."

I reboot every morning.  I rebooted again and still got the same puzzling response from TurboTax.

The symptoms of my problems, along with the behavior I should have expected per VolvoGirl’s suggestions, led me to suspect that my copy of TurboTax somehow did not accept updates.

I uninstalled the TT software and tried to reload it but my license key didn’t work.

I thought about buying a new copy, but realized that purchasing a $15 upgrade would do the same thing.

I bought the business-rated version.

I downloaded it, it installed, it accessed my 2024 file, and it completed my return—all in less than 5 minutes.  Acceptance by IRS took only another 30 minutes.

I’m posting this to help anyone else who might have this problem.

For the second time in two years, I am disappointed in Turbo Tax for not taking responsibility to help me (and others) navigate severe software bugs.
