To delete a form

·         Login to your TurboTax account

·         Click Continue Your Return

·         Click on Tools

·         Under Other Helpful Links you will see delete a form, click on delete a form

·         Under Federal Return you should see Schedule C and next to it Delete, click on delete

I followed the instructions to delete this form, it said form successfully deleted, but it is still there. And when I try to complete the return, it asks several follow up questions about dividends and things. I initially did the annualized income method and it saved almost nothing, so I prefer the default IRS calculation.

Thanks,

Did you try this.

Here's the general procedure for deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:

  1. Open your return in TurboTax. (To do this, sign in to TurboTax, and select the Take me to my return button.)
  2. In the left side bar, select Tax Tools> Tools.
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
  4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet and follow the onscreen instructions.

If you delete this form 2210, the IRS will figure the penalty for you. Also, you may try going back into the program.  There will be a question that asks if you would like for the IRS to determine the penalty for you.  You will indicate "yes."

I tried the first method, deleting a form via tools, although it said successful, in face it did not delete the form.

At some earlier point I must have said no to allowing IRS to compute the penalty, and there was no chance to change that answer.

Eventually I went through about 10+ supplemental questions relating I think to timing of income, upon completion of all of those, I tried again to delete the form, this second go around seemed to work.
