Help with Sales Tax

Hello,

I'm operating as a Sole Proprietor and use my SSN when filing taxes.

I'm trying to apply for a Sales Tax Permit in Michigan and it says I need a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN). If I get a FEIN number and apply under this, can I still use my SNN number to sell on platforms like Amazon and file my income taxes under my SNN?

Thank you in advance for the help. I'm overwhelmedScreenshot 2019-10-31 14.57.36.png.

Ok ... once you get the EIN for the Sch C business not only will that go on the Sch C when you file the return you  really should use it INSTEAD of your SS#  EVERYWHERE for security reasons .... why would you want to keep giving out your SS# if you have a safer alternative ... so GET the EIN ASAP.
