Getting error: "You must fix errors on this page before continuing." when entering 1099Q info and trying to Continue. I've deleted and re-entered all fields.

There is nothing highlighted telling me where the error is and I've deleted all fields and reentered and still get the error.

We'd love to help you complete your tax return, but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?

Please let us know what screen you are getting this error on so that we can help you to correct it.

I am having the same problem.  I am getting the message when trying to efile the state return.  The Federal return efiled with no corrections or flags.  The "fix" it wants it the first name, but that is correct and matches every other form. I too have deleted the 1099Q and re-entered it as TurboTax AI directed.  The next step AI gave was to wait for Turbo Tax to update its software- but I got a notice that 1099-Q forms were ready and the problem persists.

If you've just Efiled your Federal return and it was Accepted, you should be able to Efile your state return.  Could there be a space after the first name?  Try deleting the name and typing it in.  Does the first name match what is entered in the My Info/Personal section?

If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies, then step through your state return and retry Efiling.

If your 1099-Q was entirely used for education expenses, you aren't required to enter it into your return.  You could delete it, Efile your state, and let it repopulate.  Here's more info on Form 1099-Q.

Here's more info on Filing Federal and State Returns Separately.

Thank you, I deleted the name and retyped it- making sure there was not a space, it does match the info section.  I then opened TurboTax on a completely different computer to make sure the browser was cleared of cache and cookies that could be the problem.  Still no luck.

So I took your tax advice and removed form 1099-Q.  All disbursements were made directly to the school and additional personal payments were made to cover the rest of the costs.  Verifying all 1099-Q payments were for education expenses.  Once it was removed everything filed.  I then added the information back in for history if we ever need to pull the worksheet.

I receive the same error. However it was due to Boxes 2 and 3 not adding up to Box 1 total, but the numbers do actually add up correctly. I cannot proceed in TurboTax until the error is fixed. Unfortunately there is no error. How can I address this besides starting a new tax return from scratch?

TurboTax any update on this known bug and a resolution?

Support Case 36320

I received notice that it was fixed, but the error persists even after deleting and re-entering my 1099q. Please advise.
Also you Support line does not recognize verbal commands and I cannot get through to a live agent on the support phone line.  "I did not hear you" after I talk into my phone with "something else".
