Form 8453

I manually entered summary totals for the 1099-B instead of entering individual transaction detail, as there were too many. Also opted not to upload.

So TT says I must mail in the 1099-Bs with Form 8453 and  I see the form was generated.

Form 8453 says "File this form ONLY if you are attaching one or more of the following forms"...and Form 8949 is checked.

Do I need to mail in Form 8949 in addition to the 1099-Bs, even though Form 8949 will be electronically submitted?

I assume I only need to mail in a single Form 8453, even though I have multiple 1099-Bs?

Thanks

Yes, mail only a single Form 8453. You can attach your 1099-Bs only without the Form 8949, to Form 8453, even though you will check the box for 8949.

Be sure to save a .pdf of your return for your files so that if you should need to print any form later you will have quick access.
