Form 3800 and Form 6765

I need to enter amounts from Form 6765 that flow to Form 3800. When I open Form 3800 Part III page in Turbo Tax, I'm not able to check any boxes or enter any amounts. The Form 3800 seems to be grayed out. It's the same for Form 3800 Part I section. Anyone have this issue?

I believe I need to paper file because Turbo Tax does not include support Form 6765. But if there's another workaround, please let me know.

I'm trying to include R&D credit on the 1040. We have a Schedule C for a single-member LLC business.

It sounds like you are trying to enter amounts directly on form 3800. You need to enter these in the program itself and not on the form. To enter;

Go to the Business tab of your program
Go to less common Business Situations
Business Credits>general Business credits
Select learn more and the first thing that is mentioned is research activities (Form 6765)
It's all there.
