Form 1116 shows an incorrect error on line 33

Hi;

I just got finished with wrestling the 1116 to the ground and successfully filed. Based on your screen shot, it looks like you need some help understanding where to do the inputs. I could walk you through how I have set things up on a zoom meeting if you are interested.

It appears you did not complete the Foreign taxes paid section of your return correctly. Please review the steps

To enter foreign taxes paid, please follow these steps:
 

1. Click on Federal Taxes > Deductions & Credits I'll choose what I work on].
2. In the Search Click on "Foreign tax credit" and then "Jump to foreign tax credit"
3. Click Continue
4. On the next page, you will see "Tell us about your Foreign Taxes"
5. Enter the information requested on the preceding screens.

 

Once completed your Form 1116 should populate correctly.
