Yes, to back out of menus just use the "Back" button at the bottom of the page. Additionally you can click the an area in the left hand menu like "Wages and Income" to jump to the main screen of that section. Once on the main screen for "Wages and Income" you can scroll down to "Other Common Income" where you will find the "State refund" topic.
Keep in mind if you used the standard deduction last year then none of the state refund will be taxable. If you itemized last year then TurboTax will help answer a few questions to see if any of the refund is taxable.

Unemployment - Click the Start or Update Button
Enter the 1099G for state refund under

Wages & Income at top
Scroll down to 1099-Misc and Other Common Income
You might need click on Show More to expand the section
Then it's the first line for Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns - Click Start
You do not want the next line that says Other 1099G Income
On the first screen check YES - Received a State Refund.
Hello Volvo Girl, I think that you're right. Box 2 has the money in it and it's from a state refund. Now how do I get out of the "What Type of Payment Did You Receive?" area?
Thanks,
Ken
