FORM 1096

Does a single member LLC file a 1096 if it is going to distribute 1099-nec or should they just add it to the schedule c on contractors.

Form 1096 is the annual summary and transmittal form for certain information returns (such as 1099-NEC).

 

Also, your profile indicates you are using TurboTax Business which is not used to file a return for a single-member LLC unless there has been an election to be treated as a corporation for federal income tax purposes.
