Filing taxes

I filed my tax return and when I filed I didn't add no W-2 to my tax return so I had $0 Adjusted gross income and on payments section of estimated tax payments (line 26) I put $474 and I wasn't supposed to put that so then it gave me a refund of $474, so now I received a CP-25 Notice saying I didn't pay no estimated taxes and my account balance is zero l, and I have no amount due.

Now I amended my tax return and added my W-2's and everything is correct I have $15,143 in wages, tips, compensation and $858 withheld and it tells me on my amended return I'm due a refund of $804 which is the actual refund I'm supposed to get, but I don't know what will happen since I received that CP-25 Notice.

Thank you for the help I really appreciate it.

You should immediately call the IRS toll-free number shown in the “What to do if you disagree with our changes” section of your notice.

  • If you have not filed the amended return, you will ask for filling instructions.
  • If you have already filled the amended return you will inform them and request guidance on what to do next.
  • The key is to make the phone call.
