file format support

Someone did my return for me and saved it in a pdf format.  I chose that file to be opened in TurboTax Business but it says there's an error.  I need to make a few minor changes to my return.  Can anyone help with opening the pdf file with turbotax??

I don’t know about business, but for the regular TurboTax program, you can only import a PDF that was generated by a different tax program, not a version of TurboTax; and you can only import last year‘s tax return in order to start this year‘s tax return. You can’t import a 2019 return as a PDF from one company into TurboTax for 2019.

There is no way to open a PDF file in TurboTax. Saving your return as a PDF is very much like printing it. It's handy for looking at, but you cannot work with it.

I always be sure to save my returns both ways. One for use when running TurboTax, and the other to use as a quick reference - even years later.
